Configure your notifications

Notifications are integral to using BRM to its fullest potential. Owners hold lots of responsibilities so notifications ensure that they are proactive when managing their tools and processes. The following are primary considerations when setting notifications.
  1. Connect Slack and configure your notification medium between email and Slack
  2. Configure your request notifications: decide which moments in a request process you would like to be pinged on BRM Enterprise
  3. Configure your renewal reminder notifications: decide how early you would like to be notified (e.g. 30, 60, 90 days) prior to the end date​

Software and Vendor Notifications

As the owner, you will receive personalized notifications related to your software or vendor:
  • 30/60/90-day renewal reminders
  • Comments on the software or vendor
  • Changes in software or vendor status
  • Notifications of request creation and completion
These notifications help you maintain oversight of your responsibilities. All notifications can be customized in the settings.

Ensure vendor owner has notifications on

  1. Log into BRM
  2. Click on Settings
    1. In the settings navigation bar, click on Notifications 
    2. Configure notifications based on preference
      1. Look out for: “Vendors (owned by you)” settings
